Dreamscaping Without my Timekeeper: The Competition

“Dreamscaping without my timekeeper: the competition

hosted by Paul Kiritsis, D. Phil.

Postmark deadline: 3rd September, 2013

Task:

You have a time machine at your disposal. Due to a technical limitation, you can only teleport into the past once. This means you’ll have to be judicious in selecting your destination. Your chief purpose for time travel is to make some kind of subtle modification that will result in beneficial effects for contemporary society. You need to tell me in as long or as little as you like where you would go, what mischief you’d get up to (i.e. murder a politician, influence a major thinker, etc.), and how that might change the future of the Western world for the better.

You have a time machine at your disposal. Due to a technical limitation, you can only teleport into the past once. This means you’ll have to be judicious in selecting your destination. Your chief purpose for time travel here is to bring back an artefact that will prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you actually went into the past. You need to tell me in as long or as little as you like where you would go, and what you would bring back from that place/time in order to authenticate your claim.

Contest Requirements: All entries are to be in the English language and submitted electronically to paul@paulkiritsis.net. The competition is open to all universities and schools, and to all ages. Your name and an e-mail/phone contact must be included with your entry.

The three most convincing entries will each receive a STC8003 10″ Newton Gravity Glass Sand Timer. These sand glasses are hand blown and liquid filled so that the hour glasses “floats” as time passes. They are useful in keeping track of eggs, telephone conversations, meetings, etc. Its uses are limited only by one’s imagination. You will also receive a signed hardcopy of my e-book Dreamscaping Without my Timekeeper: A Critical Investigation into Precognitive Dreams (2013).

Contest decisions: The winners will be posted at www.paulkiritsis.net on October 3rd 2013 and in the English edition of the Neos Kosmos newspaper the following week. Contest entries judged by Dr. Paul Kiritsis, whose decisions will be final.
