The Persistence of Memory: Selected Poems 2004-2014 (2014) combines fifty-four poetic musings composed over the last ten years. Most of the material is hand-picked from my three poetry collections–Origin: Poems from the Crack of Dawn, Hermetica: Myths, Legends, Poems, and Fifty Confessions–and from the reflective, philosophical cluster of writings published in the New Jersey-based Sensations Magazine between the years 2007-2012. The rest are new and have never appeared in any other literary publication.
This offering is divided into four sections: “Brushstrokes of Red”, containing the affairs of the heart; “Recreating the Glorious Past”, containing ruminations of autobiographical and collective history; “The Canvas of Symbolic Representations”, containing life lessons delivered through the eternal kaleidoscope of mythology; and “Beneath the Looking Glass”, containing variant perceptions and judgements on an array of contemporary human experiences. The book is 105 pages in length.
